Based on this premise, the present study was designed using a survey method, aiming to examine and compare different parenting styles among families in the city of Ilam.<br /> <br /> The statistical population consisted of parents with children aged 3 to 18 years in Ilam. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS software. The findings indicate that the authoritative parenting style, with the highest rate of application, is recognized as the dominant style in this city, whereas the authoritarian style shows the lowest prevalence. At the same time, a latent profile of permissive parenting was also observed among Ilami families. Moreover, parents’ gender influenced attitudes toward the authoritative style, with fathers expressing more positive views than mothers. Middle-aged parents tended to adopt the authoritative style more frequently; however, with advancing age, the preference for this style decreased while the tendency toward the authoritarian style increased. Higher levels of education were also associated with greater inclination toward the authoritative style. الگوهای فرزندپروری نقشی اساسی در رشد اجتماعی، تنظیم هیجانی و موفقیت تحصیلی کودکان دارند و توجه به آن‌ها ضرورتی علمی محسوب می‌شود. بر همین مبنا، پژوهش حاضر با روش پیمایشی طراحی شده است. هدف آن، بررسی و مقایسه سبک‌های مختلف فرزندپروری در خانواده‌های شهر ایلام است.<br /> جامعه آماری این پژوهش را والدین دارای فرزند 3 تا 18 سال در شهر ایلام تشکیل دادند. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها، پرسشنامه بوده و داده‌ها هم از طریق نرم‌افزار SPSS مورد تحلیل قرار گرفتند. <br /> یافته‌های حاکی از آن است که سبک فرزندپروری مقتدرانه، با بالاترین میزان کاربرد، به عنوان سبک غالب فرزندپروری در این شهر شناخته می‌شود، در حالی که سبک فرزندپروری مستبدانه کمترین میزان استفاده را دارد. در عین حال، یک نیم‌رخ پنهان از سبک فرزندپروری سهل‌گیر هم در بین خانواده‌های ایلامی وجود دارد. جنسیت والدین نیز در نگرش به سبک مقتدرانه مؤثر است، به طوری که پدران نگرش مثبت‌تری را نسبت به مادران در این زمینه ابراز می‌کنند. والدین میانسال بیشتر از سبک مقتدرانه استفاده می‌کنند، در حالی که با افزایش سن، گرایش به این سبک کم و به سبک مستبدانه زیاد می‌شود؛ تحصیلات بالاتر نیز با تمایل بیشتر به سبک مقتدرانه مرتبط است.
