Sociological study of the factors affecting non-compliance with health protocols in the corona crisis( Case study: Tabriz city)

Abstract

Corona virus is a phenomenon that due to its rapid release and unstoppable nature, it has become a major global crisis and it has involved many countries, including Iran; However citizens are simultaneously identified as the main victims and culprits of the corona crisis in Iran. The present article raises the question that why do some citizens of Tabriz not follow the health protocols in the Corona crisis, seeks to understand the views and actions of these citizens in the face of the Corona crisis, there are interactions and consequences of this crisis. For this purpose and by applying the grounded theory approach in-depth interviews were conducted with 24 citizens and finally, 11 main categories were extracted from a total of 82 primary subcategories. The results show that distrust, dissatisfaction, relative deprivation, and social apathy have long since begun with the wrong policies and the government's weakness in governing, lack of transparency in control and oversight, non-compliance with health protocols has turned into an epidemic crisis.
