Abstract

The present research aims to provide a comprehensive model of the lifestyle of young athletes to enhance their quality of life. This study specifically employs a qualitative research method with a data-driven approach. The constructivist approach of Charmaz has been utilized in this research to gain a deep and accurate understanding of social and individual phenomena, particularly in relation to the factors influencing the quality of young athletes. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 13 young athletes and experts in various fields, including sports, health, and sports psychology. These interviews were designed not only to gather structured information but also to create space for participants to freely express their experiences and perspectives. The data analysis method involved initial coding to identify key concepts, followed by focused coding for deeper analysis and identification of patterns and relationships among the concepts. Theoretical saturation was achieved when no new data emerged, and the researcher gained a comprehensive understanding of the studied phenomenon. The findings of this research indicate factors such as physical health, mental health, motivation and goal-setting, time management, balance between life and sports, and social relationships as key components in enhancing the quality of life of young athletes.
