Abstract

Today, in all sports organizations, bureaucratic culture, social laziness, and organizational inertia are recognized as key factors directly or indirectly influencing the performance and advancement of these organizations. Complex relationships exist among these three factors, impacting the development or limitation of the facilities and opportunities provided by these organizations. The main objective of this research is to investigate the mediating role of social laziness among the employees of the Sports and Youth Administration of West Azerbaijan Province on organizational inertia. Using a sample of 201 employees of this administration, this research was conducted descriptively and survey-based, and the data were analyzed using SPSS and Amos. The results indicate that bureaucratic culture and social laziness have a positive and significant impact on organizational inertia, with social laziness acting as a mediating role in this relationship. To address this issue and increase employee motivation, it is recommended to create a work environment with shared values and to hold training courses to develop communication and leadership skills.
