Lifestyle pathology with emphasis on body management studies in Iran

Abstract

Achieving scientific development also requires effort, and this will not be achieved unless the research status is examined and the scientific assessment of the status of researchers is accompanied. The present study aims to examine the pathological lifestyle of body management studies in Iran, with reference to Ritzer's sociological reality. This meta-analysis reviews 65 studies. This study is a quantitative-qualitative meta-analysis. Qualitative meta-analysis is used based on Ritzer's theory to answer two questions, and quantitative meta-analysis is used to identify the most influential factors under study in relation to body management. Content analysis technique is used in the qualitative part and effect size examination is used in the quantitative part. The results of the study showed that in the studies under study, the prominent view was mainly one-sided and focused on women. The heterogeneity test of gender, religiosity, body image, socio-economic status, media consumption, and personality disorder is confirmed. This heterogeneity shows that it is necessary to examine appropriate intervening variables. Among them, only the homogeneity test of the relationship between cultural capital and body management was confirmed. The results also indicate shortcomings in the field of body management studies in Iran. It is also possible to point out the necessity of indexing body management according to religious-national teachings.
