Abstract

This research aims to use sport as a tool for improving social mobility: with a structural-interpretative approach. The present research is descriptive-survey in terms of purpose and data collection. The statistical population included academic experts in the field of sport sociology. In this research, purposive and judgmental sampling method was used. And finally, 16 people were considered as a sample. In this research, a researcher-made questionnaire was designed based on the ISM model. This questionnaire was designed to present a model of factors for improving social mobility with an emphasis on the capacities of Iranian sport. These factors were placed in the rows and columns of the questionnaire so that the effectiveness and impact of each of these factors could be compared in pairs. And finally, by analyzing and evaluating these questionnaires, an applied model was presented with an interpretive structural modeling approach. Also, in the continuation of the research, Mi'kmaq analysis was used. The results showed that the factors (improvement of social skills), (intellectual-cognitive factors) and (emotional-affective factors) are among the dependent factors that are more affected by other factors. The results also showed that none of the factors are but a linking factor. The factors (positive attitude), (ethical-behavioral factors) and (resilience factors) are among the key independent factors that affect other factors. The results of the study also showed that the factors (access to resources), (social factors), (economic factors) and (cultural factors) are among the autonomous factors.
