Socialization is one of the important functions of the family, but given the rapid pace of changes and technological growth, we are witnessing the emergence of new competitors alongside the family, such as visual media, including satellite, which have a significant impact on children's behavioral patterns.
The present study was conducted to investigate the role of socialization styles on children's role modeling of visual culture (here, animation and children's satellite networks). To investigate the aforementioned relationship, Albert Bandura's theories of socialization styles and social learning were used. For this purpose, 200 parents of Naqadeh County who have at least one child between the ages of 5 and 12 were selected using a multi-stage cluster sampling method and filled out a researcher-made questionnaire. The research method was a survey, and Pearson and regression tests were used to analyze the findings.
The research findings indicate that children's role modeling of animation has a negative relationship with the authoritarian style and a positive relationship with the democratic, filial, and free styles.
